– 제목: Measuring statistics-induced entanglement-entropy with a Hong-Ou-Mandel interferometer

Entanglement between particles, or sub-systems, and quantum statistics are the core of quantum mechanics concepts. We theoretically attempted to combine these two concepts and measure them employing an electronic Hong-Ou-Mandel(HOM) interferometer. Before discuss the measurement result, this talk introduce the measurement system and structure for the GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructure based interger quantum Hall regime fermion measurement system. Two highly diluted beams of electrons (1D-like edge modes in the integer quantum Hall regime) where allowed to collide in a center quantum point contact (QPC), and auto and cross correlations of the current fluctuations where measured. To quantify the entanglement between the two colliding beams, two observables were proposed and calculated: the entanglement pointer (EP) and the statistics-induced (von Neumann’s) entanglement entropy (SEE). We found a good match between the calculated observables and the experimental data. The proposed framework can be potentially applied to a quantification of the entanglement of abelian and non-abelian anyons.
