•제목: Probing defect dynamics of 2D materials via low-frequency noise nanospectroscopy

•초록: Structural defects in atomically thin two-dimensional (2D) materials play critical role for their thermal, mechanical, optical, and electrical properties, implying the increasing importance of defect states in 2D materials. Thus far, the microscopic structures and energy states of defects in 2D materials have been confirmed by the high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and scanning tunneling microcopy, however, the defect dynamics in 2D materials are little known. The limited contact area defined by tip-size of C-AFM and relatively low defect density of monolayer MoS2 allow us to probe a few monovacancy defects at a time, revealing the charged defect states of MoS2. This experimental approach will provide a better opportunity to study the defect dynamics in a wide range of nanomaterials. Furthermore, I will briefly introduce the observation of random spin fluctuation in V-doped WSe2 multilayers and their high feasibility for a unconventional probability computing.
